What is 14k gold fill?
14k gold fill metal is composed of a solid layer of gold bonded with heat and pressure to a base metal core such as copper or brass. 14k gold fill pieces have 100 times more gold than gold plated jewelry and can hold their color for years with the proper care.
Does 14k gold fill tarnish? What about sterling silver?
14k gold fill can last for years without showing significant signs of tarnishing if cared for properly. Sterling silver can be more prone to tarnishing and can be cleaned with a polishing cloth or mild soap/warm water.
Can I wear my jewelry in the shower or the pool?
Our gold filled pieces have a lot more durability and will last you much longer than any plated jewelry. To maintain your jewelry’s longevity, we recommend removing it before swimming (oceans and pools aren't our best friends!) and store in an airtight plastic bag when not being worn.
If you do wear it swimming we would recommend rinsing it with plain water to wash away the salt & chlorine.
What is my ring size?
You can use string to measure your ring size from home. Take the string and wrap it around the base of your finger, marking where the string first overlaps with a pen. Then, use a ruler to measure the length of the string in millimeters.
For women, common sizes are as follows: 6 (16.5 mm), 6.5 (16.9 mm), and 7 (17.3 mm).
How should I clean my jewelry?
We suggest a standard jewelry polishing cloth or scrubbing gently with an old toothbrush and mild soap/warm water.
Please note that the cleaning process stated above does not apply to any plated jewelry pieces. Using a polishing cloth can rub away at the plating, therefore we recommend just rubbing gently with lukewarm water.
What if I want a custom length?
Send us an email or leave a note at checkout if you'd like a custom length for your necklace or bracelet. We'll do our best to accomodate!
Why do the stones/pearls look different?
Due to the natural variation in semi-precious stones and freshwater pearls, each piece is unique and may vary slightly from the image shown. We hand pick each stone/pearl, so we do our best to make sure each and every one is flawless.
How does San Diego local pick up work?
You will receive an email as soon as your order is ready for pickup. Pickup is at our office located in Hillcrest, San Diego (92103). Our hours for pickups are Monday-Friday from 10am-4pm. Please let us know at least an hour in advance when you are coming to pick up your order via email or text.
Do you have a storefront?
As of right now we only have our headquarters! Is there anything you would like to know more about? Need help styling or picking out a gift for a friend? If you are wanting to see something specific, feel free to send us a text and we would be happy to help you find the perfect piece!
Can I use multiple discount codes?
Only one discount code can be activated at a time. Discount codes are case sensitive. If you are having issues using one, please reach out to our team via email or phone and we can assist you.
How do I purchase my item as a gift?
At checkout, please check the box “this order contains a gift” so our packaging team can ensure it gets sent out correctly. When purchasing a gift, you will have the option to include a gift message at checkout. This message is hand written on our gift notes (please keep your message short and sweet). Prices will not be included on the invoices sent in the package. The gift box will be wrapped with a ribbon! Ribbon color varies depending on season.

How long will it take to receive a personalized order?
Personalized pieces may take up to 3 weeks to ship regardless of the shipping method selected.

Where is my order?
Orders will ship within 24 hours of being placed (personalized styles excluded). If your order is placed before 12PM PST Monday-Friday, your order will ship out that same day. Any orders placed after 12PM PST will ship out the following business day.

Need an order ASAP?
We know how it goes. Choosing UPS 2nd Day Air or UPS Next Day Air at checkout can speed up the shipping time if you need your order sooner. Enter your address at checkout to calculate shipping times.

What do I do if I think my package is lost?
With the increase of online orders in the last couple of years, shipping carriers may take longer than expected. We ask that you be patient and work with us if you think your package is lost! If your package says it was delivered and you cannot find it, it is most likely at a neighbors or could quite possibly be mis-scanned. Please wait up to 48 hours for potential redelivery.

If you have had issues with theft in the past at your location, please email us and we can add a signature release to your order.

Do you ship Internationally?
We currently ship internationally to Canada and Mexico. For all other inquiries feel free to reach out to us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we’d be happy to look into shipping prices for you!
Can I return my items?
If you're not satisfied with your order, Set & Stones offers returns, exchanges or store credit within 30 days of your order ship date. All items must be returned in unworn condition with original packaging. Customer is responsible for all return shipping costs back to Set & Stones. Shipping costs from the order are not eligible for a refund. Once we receive your return, please allow 14 business days for processing. To initiate a return, please contact us at email@example.com and provide your order number in your request.
*HOLIDAY POLICY* Items purchased between 11/21/22 - 12/23/22 can be returned until 1/23/23. Please reach out to us by 1/23/23 for your return to be accepted.
What if my jewelry breaks?
If your item breaks within 30-days of delivery, the repair will be covered (on us!) After 30 days, a fee of $30 will occur. Shipping both ways will be covered in the fee.
